Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
When is the Fusion Pro Wrestling Academy open?
We are open and available for you to join. Have a look at our Contact page for more information. We train at Ty Hapus Community Centre in Llandudno.
How do I book a session?
Please either use our Sign Up page or use our Contact page to get in touch.
I am female. Can I join?
Yes, we do accept female applicants, all of our training sessions are unisex and any gender is welcome to join in.
I am under 15. Can I join?
Sadly no - at the present time we are only accepting students over the age of 15. This may change in the future but at the present time there are no plans to do so.
Is there an upper age limit?
No, there is no upper age limit. However the older you are we ask you to use your own judgement to whether you are able to do the training.
Your poster says 'Rules, terms and conditions apply' what does this mean?
Please visit our Rules T & Cs page for details. It can be found here.
I have a medical condition, can I join?
Yes, although the nature of the medical condition will need to be detailed during the sign up process. Also as part of the sign up process you will be required to confirm that you are in a good enough health to go through the training, so if you have a current or underlying medical condition we recommend seeking medical advice before joining. If a condition flares up during the session just then the trainers must be told immediately. Unfortunately we do not accept those with learning difficulties for insurance reasons.
Am I covered in case of injury?
Unlike martial arts, boxing or similar sports, wrestling does not currently have a governing body. Due to this, those participating in wrestling are not automatically covered in the event of injury, and by signing up with FUSION Pro, you wave your rights when it comes to injury. Wrestling is dangerous, and you do so at your own risk.
Please note: We ask that all trainees purchase personal injury insurance (related to contact sports) before they begin training at FUSION Pro.
After my training will I get to be a wrestler?
There is no yes or no answer to that question. Ideally yes. We aim to give you all the skills you need to go ahead and become a independent wrestler. We hope to open a wrestling promotion side of the wrestling academy, where students will be able to put on shows to show off what they have learned. We hope that our initial trainees who attend the first seminar will have a role on a show after 18 months of training. This is not a guarantee, we also will not say what sort of role they will have, but we hope they all can put on a full match.
Will there be a wrestling ring at training?
Yes! We have two wrestling rings which are used at training
